Zamasu is a major antagonist in the "Future Trunks Saga" of Dragon Ball Super. Initially serving as a North Kai and Supreme Kai apprentice from Universe 10 under Gowasu, Zamasu possesses immense power and talent but harbors a deep distrust and hatred for mortals.
His growing misanthropy leads him to develop the "Zero Mortal Plan," a genocidal campaign to eradicate all mortals from existence, believing them to be a blight on the universe. He sees himself as a righteous god, purging the universe of imperfection.
Zamasu's actions become increasingly extreme, culminating in his stealing the body of Goku (becoming Goku Black) using the Super Dragon Balls and partnering with his future self. Together, they devastate Future Trunks' timeline, eliminating most mortals.
Ultimately, Zamasu proves to be a formidable and persistent threat, even achieving immortality by merging with the universe itself. He is eventually erased from existence by Zen-Oh, the Omni-King, due to the immense threat he poses to the multiverse.
